Our team

Hello and welcome.

Hi, my name is Disha.

I am a Registered Psychologist at Tailoring Therapy.

Only available for new appointments in Morley

In my therapeutic approach, I bring warmth, compassion, and a values-driven foundation to my work. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel understood and supported as you explore what truly matters to you.

I completed my postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology in India and have over ten years of diverse clinical experience. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and I also provide comprehensive psychological assessments, including ADHD assessments for adults and children aged five and above. My work is grounded in evidence-based practice and continues to evolve through ongoing professional development and supervision.

I see therapy as a collaborative journey. Together, we explore challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, eating concerns, stress and burnout, relationship difficulties, grief, addiction, and major life transitions. I am particularly passionate about helping clients gently shift long-standing patterns, transform unhelpful inner narratives, and reconnect with their strengths.

Depending on your needs, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, Imagery Rescripting, and couples and relationship counselling frameworks. I integrate Imagery Rescripting especially when supporting clients with trauma, anxiety, eating concerns, and painful childhood memories, helping reshape how these experiences are held emotionally and physically.

Having grown up in India, lived in Kenya, and now practising in Australia, I bring a multicultural lens to my work. I understand the complexities of migration, identity, and intergenerational expectations. I offer therapy in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi, and I understand Punjabi, Urdu, and several other Indian languages, allowing me to provide culturally attuned support.

Clients often describe me as calm, grounded, and genuinely present. I deeply respect the courage it takes to seek support and the trust you place in me when sharing your story.

Disha runs her own independent practice and engages Tailoring Therapy to provide administrative and other business services to enable her to provide assessment and treatment to her clients.
